Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: [2/01/2025]

 

1. Booking & Payments

*Locks and Lashes by Rachel requires a credit card to be kept on file in support of our policies.

• To book wedding services, a deposit of $300 is required to secure your appointment. This deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to your total service cost. Most services and ala carte services require and additional % deposit.

• The remaining balance is due on the day of service.

 

2. Cancellation & Rescheduling

We value our guests and their time just as much as we value the staff and their time, therefore we have a 72-hour cancellation policy. If for any reason a guest is unable to make their appointment, please contact the stylist to cancel the appointment with at least 72 hours of notice. If a less than 72-hour notice is given, then the deposit plus the remaining 50% of the service fee will be charged to the credit card on file.  

• In the event a guest does not show up for the scheduled appointment and fails to give any notice, the guest is considered a "no show" and therefore 100% of the service fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

• Rescheduling is allowed 48-72 hours in advance, subject to availability. (There may be a small rebooking fee)

• If we, Locks and Lashes by Rachel, must cancel due to an emergency, you will receive a full refund of any payments made.

3. Late Policy

We understand that unexpected delays can happen, but out of respect for other guests and the stylists' time, we have the following late policy.

There is a 10 min grace period for all appointments. If guest arrives within this window, we will do our best to accommodate the full-service appointment. 

There is a 15 -min late policy after the grace period.  If a guest is 15 minutes late or more, the appointment may need to be shortened to avoid delays for the next guest. Full-service fees will still apply.  If the appointment cannot be accommodated due to lateness, it will be considered a no-show and may be subject to the cancellation policy.

*Bridal and Special Event schedules are carefully planned.  If anyone in your party is late, it may impact the timeline, and we cannot guarantee full services for late individuals.

If delays on your end cause us to run over our scheduled time, an overtime fee of $50 per 30 minutes of overtime will be applied.  

Guests who are more than 30 min late without notice will be considered a no-show, and the full appointment may be charged.

***We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that we stay on schedule for all clients.  If you anticipate being late, please call or text as soon as possible. (843-360-8688)

 

4. Travel & Location Requirements

• On-location services may require a travel fee depending on the distance from the salon suite. (330 Mayfield Drive Franklin Tn 37064)

• Clients must ensure a clean and safe workspace with access to adequate lighting and electrical outlets.

 

5. Client Responsibilities

• Clients should arrive with clean, dry hair and a clean face for makeup services. If client has curly/textured hair and is wanting a smooth style look, please try to have hair straightened in advance.

• If a client has any skin, scalp, or health conditions that could affect the service, they must notify us in advance.

​*We maintain a professional, inclusive environment and expect all clients to be respectful toward staff.

*Disruptive, inappropriate, or disrespectful behavior may result in termination of services without a refund.

6. Health & Wellness Policy

To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all clients, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment if you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms of illness, including but not limited to:

• Fever, chills, or body aches

• Cough, congestion, or sore throat

• Vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea

• Any contagious skin or scalp conditions

 

COVID-19 & Contagious Illness Policy:

• If you or anyone in your party has tested positive for COVID-19 or has been in close contact with someone who has, please notify us immediately to discuss rescheduling options.

• If you arrive visibly ill or showing symptoms, we reserve the right to refuse service for health and safety reasons.

We also reserve the right to refuse service if a client has lice, contagious skin conditions, or other health conditions that could impact the service. 

 

Rescheduling Due to Illness:

• Clients who need to reschedule due to illness must notify us at least 48 hours in advance, to allow a one-time reschedule without losing their deposit. If less than 24-hour notice is given, the entire deposit will be non-refundable, except in emergency cases at our discretion.

• Last-minute cancellations due to sickness will be handled on a case-by-case basis, and a rebooking fee may apply.

7. Liability

• We are not responsible for allergic reactions or sensitivities. Clients must inform us of any allergies or skin conditions before the service.

• We are not liable for any delays caused by the client (e.g., late arrival, unprepared hair/makeup conditions).

 

8. Photography & Social Media

• We may take photos/videos of our work for promotional use unless the client requests otherwise.

 

9. Agreement

 

By booking a service with Locks and Lashes by Rachel, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
